In Mohave valley, women organize a Box Social at the Goodhue Belton & Co. ranch on Saturday evening October 14 to raise funds for a new Judson school. Attendance urged and all are invited. The Miner notes most mines near Johannesburg and Randsburg are active with the Yellow Aster a strong producer.
Howe's Big Circus will perform in Barstow on October 10 before moving to Needles via the Santa Fe. A local law requires a stop to feed and water the animals. Also note a for sale item a second hand Goulds centrifugal pump with accessories priced at 25 dollars. Dr. Chas E Stauter announces Barstow headquarters starting October 9 and planned visits to surrounding towns.
