Constable Jim Lucas of Daggett received a wire from Salt Lake to arrest H. L. Johnson alias C. T. Finch, driving an embezzled Oldsmobile Washington Kouse. John son left Salt Lake yesterday. Lester Saiple and Ben Gebhart located the wanted man at the Yermo station. Johnson, a known mine promoter and bad cheque passer, has a bad reputation per Lucas.

Ed Stephens of Hodge sold forty acres on contract and forty more on shares to a man recommended by a friend. Stephens paid the man's son 8100 for eleven hov. Despondent Columbus Ross Takes His Life at Daggett
Columbus Ross, 64, committed suicide by shooting himself in Daggett after despondency over ill health and unemployment. A prospector returning to the area had no known relatives. An inquest by deputy coroner Edward P Doyis was held. Burial followed at Barstow Cemetery managed by White and Platt.

Wm Hahn injured on highway near Helendale
William Hahn of Los Angeles was injured Friday night when a Victorville Motor Express truck struck his parked car two miles east of Helendale.
