Aged Hine Caretaker Found Dead in Cabin Near Mine
Eugene Grosjean, aged caretaker at the mine near Garlic Springa about 40 miles north of Barstow, was found dead in his cabin. Coroner J. B. Hanna reported the death, believed caused by a severe asthma attack leading to a hemorrhage of the lungs.
