State to oil Old Trails Highway near Kleinfeldorf
The state will open bids late May for a contract to improve the Old Trails Highway between Barstow and Needles. It calls for 4460 barrels of heavy fuel oil to be used as a dust layer over 35.4 miles from Essex to Kleinfelter, with bids due May 21.

Dust Collision Hospitals After Highway Crash

Fire department delayed by missing fire location
A roof fire at W. A. Williams residence on Frederick Street east of Second was started by a stove. Firefighters arrived after the engine. Chief E. L.
