District Elder Zahmiser will preach at the Free Methodist Mission this Friday Saturday and Sunday night. Barstow activities include Harvey house add ons costing about 40000, local visits, family moves, Lane reforms, ball team plans against Murce, hospital stay for E W Thrasher, and several travels and weddings.
WATER J. W. Burden traded his ranch to G. E. Alderson for the store and has assumed charge. Burden brings store experience from Riverside while Alderson gains a well improved alfalfa ranch. The Cutler place party from Los Angeles includes Mrs. Anna Bubenzer and her mother Mrs. Hamilton amid ill health.
The Fourth of July was celebrated by Atolians with an all day gathering at No 1 mine hosted by Mr and Mrs Geo Beamer. Attendees brought two lunches and a phono graph from Barstow provided music. Many residents traveled to Mojave Tehachapi and Calico for the holiday. The Sine Cura Club held twilight sessions with debates and topics on tungsten gold and political subjects, while members welcomed new and honorary participants and discussed future club plans.
