Wrecks At Burstow Garage Involving Three Cars
A Chevrolet driven by a woman and her husband, both unhurt, wrecked at the Burstow garage entrance after a rapid descent down a hill. A Cadillac sedan driven by Dr. Bazel of Winslow, with his family aboard, collided with a tractor and drag, injuring a boy and causing extensive damage. the doctor and family survived with minor injuries. A third vehicle, a Chevrolet coach, overturned near Yermo with Mrs Coolchild driving. two wheels broke and all occupants escaped injury.

School Examiner visits Barstow High School and confirms B. U. H. 8 will remain on the accredited list for another year. Over 50 percent of graduates go to college with 62 graduates this year sending 7 to Berkeley, 4 to Southern Branch UC, 2 to U.S. GC, 1 to California School of Technology, 1 to Davis, 2 to Oregon, 1 to Pennsylvania Normal, 3 to junior college, 1 to Bible Institute, 1 to school of Optometry, and 9 to Standard Business Colleges. The school expects at least that many advance to higher schooling next year. Many students already have two or three years of study here and attend standard schools in other states. It is essential to keep the town high school up to accredited standards to attract families.

One Killed Two Injured In Auto Wreck Near Barstow
John Lake and Bill Sollins with Mrs. Billie Masi in a Buick roadster wreck one mile from Barstow on the National Old Trail. A tire blowout caused a skid and turnover. Bill Collins was killed.
