Disappearance of Miner Henry C Petty Near Barstow
The miner Henry C Petty aged about 65 to 70, last seen at Foglesong’s lead mines near Barstow, vanished with his mare two weeks ago. A search by local residents and a Barstow party failed to find him within a mile of the camp as relatives in Riverside await news. Petty, from St Louis, had money from a Nevada mine and a daughter Mrs J C Cram lives in Riverside.

Good Roads Meeting Boosts Barstow Group
The Barstow Good Roads and General Improvement Association met at the Lee Theatre Monday with strong turnout. Dues were cut from 1 to 50 cents monthly to grow membership and both men and women were urged to attend each week. The next meeting is Monday March 3 at 8 pm featuring a debate led by two local women.
