The first complete circuit through the new Southern Sierras Power steel tower line was closed. starting Bishop creek plant 5 the 237 mile line runs through Owens River Valley to San Bernardino with 68 foot towers and 2000 structures. The line carries about 125000 volts and will supply Southern California from Bishop Creek to San Bernardino. Sub stations at Oro Grande Rand sburg Inyo Kern Long Pine. Construction began in 1911 at an estimated cost of 1500000 dollars.
