Telegraphic dispatches report Georges Clemenceau gravely wounded after two assailants opened fire as he entered an automobile. An 18 year old suspect, named Cotton, claimed Bolshevik ties and was captured by a mob before jail. A second suspect, a Russian Bolshevik, was also arrested.

Kramer Well Explosion Hopes Raised At Kramer Oil Field
Word reached press as issue went to press that Kramer Consolidated Oil Company would blow their well at Kramer. Reporters Lubin Henderson and John Sloan rushed to the site where several interested parties awaited the outcome. Sufficient oil was pumped to show the Kramer well lies in an oil district.
