California State Deports Nonresident Mental Patients
A semi annual deportation sent 42 non resident patients and hospital staff from Patton and other state institutions to their home states. The group, representing 18 states, left San Bernardino at noon in cars hitched to a Santa Fe train, with 22 Patton patients under six staff members. They will receive care in state home hospitals.
