District Attorney Johnson Accepts Los Angeles Post
George H. Johnson district attorney for San Bernardino county has accepted a senior trial deputy position in Los Angeles for District Attorney Fitts. Bob King and Leland Miles, pilots, visited Barstow on Wednesday and Thursday taking up many passengers. Miles, on vacation from the movie colony, piloted stunts while King, with six years of flying, described the Stearman Sr. mail plane as the finest to land on Barstow fields. The venture included Will Kinslow’s first airplane ride and Mrs. Reece Dillingham’s air experience at 150 to 170 mph. The plane, owned by King, represents a twenty thousand dollar investment and earlier years saw Miles flying to Barstow before the war.
