Thanksgiving Dance Draws Large Crowd at Barstow Theatre
The Miller Orchestra's Thanksgiving dance at Barstow Theatre drew a full house. Decorations included palms and green red streamers while the six piece orchestra played on a moved stage with a floral net and forest scenes as a backdrop. Owner H L Miller plans hall improvements and a large Christmas dance. The Barstow gun club also hosted a well attended dance after a day of blue rock shooting.

Gun Club Shoots Sunday With Turkey Dinners Awarded
The local gun club will hold a shoot Sunday afternoon in December. Members show strong interest after the Thursday event yielded several Thanksgiving turkey dinners. G. Faulk and Warnick each claimed two turkeys, while F. Kitten, Albert Brass and Dr. Hall won one each. Dr. Hall had the highest average in the bluerock shoot.
