Milk cannery plans loom for Los Angeles and Barstow
Three men on the road from New York through the canal to Los Angeles will join a milk cannery project in LA using Vermont and New England milk. The plant will employ about 300, a boost to nearby dairies. Pioneer settlers visit Barstow and recall Santa Fe era while a barite mill rises northeast of town with high grade deposits near Coyote Lake. Building a new hardware store finishes notes from C Kinsleyside and son.
