Famous French military leader General Mangin is recalled from Mayence command to undertake a mission. Italian troops are reported already present as Allied plans to invade Hungary are under consideration.
Italian troops have occupied Pressburg near Vienna in a Budapest dispatch. French General Mangin is slated for recall to a mission in eastern Europe, possibly the Balkans, with aims on the Hungarian frontier and southwestern Russia. Military commentators discuss a broad Allied march through Germany to reach Poland and bolster the defeat of Bolsheviks.
Parle March 27 The League of Nations commission of the peace conference chaired by President Wilton completed its consideration of the covenant. A drafting committee will refine wording and report to the commission within two days for final approval before executive committee review. The covenant contains 26 articles with no amendments yet addressing Japan’s demand for national equality.

New York March 27 J Aingstey Burnett manager of the TriState News agency in Pittsburg and a financier of Captain Edwins Weixgerber chemical export and army officer on trial before a court martial defended the accused. Burnett testified that the government charged he sought to damage motor engines used by American allies and threatened to withhold Inventions on motor generation. He claimed he submitted a synthetic fuel sample to the national defense council’s oil division after it was asked to drive a turbine in Pittsburgh.

Lincoln March 27 The assistant trust officer of Citizens Bank & Trust Co of Cleveland turned over the income from a Walter Burnham fund to the town for a foundation to be named the Walter & Burnham Foundation. The fund will grow to about $985,000 and is to be used as specified in the will. One-fourth of the income from the other Burnham estate will go to maintenance of Burnham into Maple Cemetery, with the balance to general purposes.

Born August 24 1870 in Clintonville New York he moved to Barre years ago and worked as a paint contractor granite cutter and milk dealer. Survived by wife two sons Ralph and Clyde J a daughter Clara K father James of Montpelier sister Mrs Claude Hebbard four half brothers and three half sisters. Funeral Saturday 2 PM Rev B Spahe officiating with vault burial at Kimwood cemetery before shipment to Clintonville.

Peter Pedurei of 67 Boynton Street died this morning after three years of illness. He was born in Sehie nang Italy on January 1, 1876 and came to the United States sixty years ago. He returned to Italy after six years, married there, and brought his wife back to the United States. He worked as a granite cutter until three years ago when illness forced him to stop. He leaves his wife, two children Virginia and Raymond, his mother in Italy, and four sisters Mrs. Martarina Noli Barre, Katherine Peduset, Mrs. Mary in Italy, and Mrs. Joseph Ancella of California. The funeral will be from his late home Saturday at 2 p.m. and interment will be in Tope cemetery.
In Trainree City Michigan on March 2, Mrs Stauiciana Lyuchins kale 40 year old priest's housekeeper faces a murder charge in the 11 year old vanishing of Sister Marylah Melmannan from the Teadoré convent. Officials say they have information from Milwaukee and Chicago to positively identify a grave exhumed as Sister Mary.
The public service commission met to investigate the March accident in Burlington railroad yards that killed Octave J. Virano. He fell from a moving engine front and was run over. the panel ruled a broken spring hanger caused the engine front to drop, throwing him beneath the locomotive.
