Government’s Official Bulletin Compared With Newspapers
Washington draws a distinction between a newspaper and the Official Bulletin a daily government publication not intended for the public unless a five dollar yearly subscription is paid. The bulletin is a small eight page circular with verbatim orders intended for officials and semi public organizations, priced higher than many papers which offer more general information. If material costs rise smaller papers may go bankrupt.
