Mr. Otis A Murphey moves his home and headquarters to Atlanta to support his large fire insurance business. He is a leading fire insurance man in the state and gains many advantages by relocating. Relatives and friends in this city wish him success, while the community regrets his departure.
Dr W A Candler of Emory College endorses Gordon Institute as the state’s top training school. He notes students come from across the state and rise in classes. Mr E W Rose recently visited Oxford and heard Candler’s strong claim, urging enrollment to reach 500 pupils soon.
One of the best meetings the club has held was at Mrs L K Rogers home Tuesday night focusing on Robert Burns. The next gathering is planned for Tuesday evening December 2 with Mr and Mrs R L Swatts.
