Old Mill Fire Damages Buildings In Newnan Area
Saturday morning around 11 a fire alarm warned crews of a blaze at an old oil mill. Firefighters battled the flames, saving nearby structures while the mill and adjacent ginnery suffered severe damage. Crews implemented heavy hose lines as the building burned rapidly. Nearby wear mill windows shattered from the heat. Several workers or bystanders reported high heat and smoke.
