A new campus group at Barnard and Columbia works to support Robert J. Wagner Jr. in the NYC mayoral race. The independent student volunteers will handle sound tracks and literature distribution outlining Wagner's qualifications and platform. Scholarship Fund Supports Spanish Student at Barnard
Barnard’s Spanish department funds ongoing scholarships to bring Spanish girls to study. Activities include a $1,000 from last year’s Spanish play and $1,831.17 from a contemporary Spanish paintings exhibit, totaling $4,065.97 so far. The fund, named for Carolina Marcial Dorado, was begun last February with a goal of $25,000 endowment. If no eligible Spain applicant exists, a Spanish major may receive the scholarship.
