The author argues for federating clubs with shared interests to split the entertainment load. Instead of passive complacency, active effort to learn from other colleges could yield gains through better contact and collaboration.
The Faculty Committee on Student Organizations is urged to yield full control of extra curricular life to Student Government with advisory powers retained by the faculty. The piece argues current lines of jurisdiction create inefficiency and unclear final authority and calls for a two thirds council vote and referendum to ensure careful, well advised governance.
