Club Notes Elect New Ul Gircolo Italiano Officers
Ul Gircolo Italiano met on Monday March 11 to elect officers for the coming year. Elizabeth Stadulis was chosen president with Susan Mathews as secretary and Marie de Alteris as treasurer. Nancy Swift became publicity chair. the vice president post was discontinued and replaced by a business manager, Maria Bontempi. A Verdi staged reading of Stello will be held April 11 at 4 pm in Brinkerhoff Theatre to aid the World Student Service Fund with Ruth Margaretten, Leora Dana, and Francine Scileppi in cast.

IRC Officers Elected for Upcoming Model UN Conference
The International Relations Club chose Charlotte Brandis as president, Ben Bassi as secretary, and Eva Maze as treasurer at its noon March 14 meeting in the Little Parlor. Brandis will represent Russia on the Political Commission at Lafayette College’s Model United Nations Assembly.

Pre-medical Club outlines future program and visits
Last Thursday the Pre-medical Club laid out its coming sessions. In about two weeks an informal meeting will provide literature on medical research and scientific careers. Medical students will answer questions about medical school and related topics. Plans include hospital and clinic visits to Henry Street Settlement. The term ends with meetings featuring guest speakers including a psychiatrist and a research worker.

Boris Addresses Chapel on French Students Today
Boris speaks at UCA chapel noon Wednesday on The Life and Needs of French Students Today in support of the WSSF drive. He fought with the Free French army outside France and has lived in the U.S. a month. He studies chemical engineering at Columbia on an American Field Service scholarship. His wife, at Columbia, worked in the French underground.

Classical Club Talk on Springtime in Asia Minor Islands
Professor and Mrs. Clarence Young spoke to the Classical Club Thursday afternoon at four in the College Parlor. Mrs. Young displayed colored slides. Tea followed the address. Professor Young, a former Barnard archaeology professor, has spent many years in Greece and taught Greek.

Plan Conferences For Registration
Margaret Weitz chairwoman of Barvnard Curriculum Committee says conferences will be held before registration for the next session. One representative per department will discuss courses, with interest in a twentieth century English literature course. It is not yet decided if it will be added.
