Wallace Club Chooses Leaders and Ratifies Constitution
At a March 5 Students for Wallace meeting, the constitution was ratified and temporary officers were reelected. Doris Halverson spoke against the Marshall Plan, calling it a political weapon and predicting Europe’s lower living standards and U.S. antagonism, while proposing Henry Wallace’s alternative tied to Roosevelt, Jefferson, and Wilson. The executive committee will meet again this week to plan further actions.
