The LRG will hold a tea this afternoon from to 6. There will be a basketball movie at 4 80 today in Room 304 Barnard. The regular college tea will be held tomorrow in the College Parlor. Glee Club will meet from 5 to 6 Thursday in Room 408 Barnard.
A required junior class meeting will be held at 12 noon on Thursday in room 304 Barnard. The event invites all junior class members to attend and participate in upcoming plans.
The Fine Arts Club shows in the Conference Room Thursday from 10 to 5. A vitamin bar sponsored by the Health Committee will run from 10 to 4 on Jake.
The February Coffee Dance will be held on February 7 at Earl Hall instead of the cafeteria, replacing the usual venue and inviting attendees to join in the campus social event.
The Health Committee will sponsor a Vitamin Bar on Jake this Thursday from 10 to 4 offering raw carrots and tomato juice to renew vitality during pre exam days. The event is non profit with prices set to cover costs and may feature a new vegetable juice blend high in vitamins. Chairman Mary Ewald notes a five dollar Milk Bar surplus from before Christmas was donated to British War Relief alongside a prior twelve dollar contribution.
During exams the gymnasium will be open daily except Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for students to play badminton, ping pong, tenikou, and volleyball. From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. there are opportunities to play ping pong and to roller skate.
Students may file explanations of absences if on the Dean's List. No lists accepted after the deadline. Explanations are optional for those not subject to penalties for excess absence.
Barnard College leads a British War Relief drive sending a Kitchen unit titled Young America Wants to Help to England. Belle Willard Roosevelt and Phyllis Wickenden report on telegrams from Colonel Appleby praising student effort and the goal to raise funds to end of the year. The cost has been cut to 1750 dollars thanks to General Motors, with excess funds to buy hospital beds. wool remains in the workroom for knitting for the armed forces.
The Camp Committee led by Nancy Swan will be in Jake tomorrow Thursday and Friday to receive deposits and register girls deciding to follow the trail. They travel via I R T subway to Marble Hill and then Ossining with a taxi onward to Croton on Hudson.
