Barnard Bulletin records it is published semi weekly during the college year by Barnard College students for the Undergraduate Association. It was entered as second class matter October 19 1928 at the New York NY post office under the 1879 act.
Editorial argues Barnard Assembly narrowly votes against U S participation, noting late action while urging continued opposition if the Amateur Athletic Union sends a team. It questions claims about sportsmanship and warns of possible diplomatic fallout from participation.
Barnard College joins Columbia University's drive to cut auto accidents among students and staff. The safety pledge campaign, led by Bulletin with signatures distributed by Mrs. Johns, includes seven rules and a published list of signers. Francis Murphy of the Hartford Times conceived the pledge and urged mindful driving to prevent loss of life. Other campus papers support the effort, including Teachers College News and New College Outlook.
At a Syracuse conference, speakers urged lowering tariff barriers to ease raw material shortages. Miss Leckie argued quotas fail to address root causes, while others stressed international cooperation, the League of Nations, and the need for flexible trade access toensure global stability.
The Current Events Club voted to join the Social Science Union and pursue campaigns of campus or national importance. Sophia Simmonds, president, outlined aims including antiwar clauses, civil liberties, academic freedom, nondiscrimination, and nonretrenchment in education. A delegate may attend the American Student Union conference in Columbus, funds to be raised from faculty and students. Delegates to the Anti-War Conference were elected for December 12-13.

Felix Salmond and Ernest Hutcheson performed all five Beethoven cello sonatas at Town Hall last Saturday.
