The Twentieth Century Club met with Mrs. G. T. Thaerer to review Miss Blackwell's Reminiscences and Letters of Catherine Breshkovsky the Little Grandmother of the Russian Revolution. The talk covered her life from birth in 1844 at Vitebsk to her Siberian exile and return with a grand public welcome. Members who paid dues for next year will vote for officers at the April 3 meeting with Mrs. James Hill.

Two Surprises For De Koe yer Farm Move
Two Dekoeyer families were surprised as Sol and Sol De Koeyer move from an eighty acre Baraboo farm after 38 years. Their son Bert Dekoeyer of Baraboo and his wife take over, having bought the Sixth Avenue home. Neighbors joined a farewell gathering before the transfer, and Bert De Koeyer has worked as a fireman for the Chicago and North Western.

House Fire Destroys Kunzel Residence Near Town
Ernest C Kunzel man’s home off West Sank road about one mile toward Pewitt’s nest burned Sunday evening at 5 30. The house burned completely though upstairs contents were saved by neighbors. Family members were away when the blaze started in the upper part. Loss covered by insurance.

Baraboo High Team Debates League of Nations Question
Baraboo high school debaters Virgil Roick Edward Templin and Stanford Richardson argued for the affirmative on the League of Nations question at a Monday evening contest against Sparta high school. Judge Olson of Reedsburg High School awarded the win to the negative 85 to 83, though Baraboo received praise for mature argument and preparation under coach Miss Esther Robers.

In a 1918 case Jacob Zimmerly paid Richard Brandt $500 for use of a Excelsior farm. Lease required vacating if sold. Farm sold Jan 11 1919 to Julius Henke. Zimmerly vacated and sought return of $150 prepaid minus 11 days occupancy. Halsted ordered refund of $150 less 11 days rent, case likely to circuit court.

Reedsburg Debuts New Main Street Lighting System
Reedsburg unveiled three new lamps on Main street last week, delivering unusually strong light with long reach. Installed at low cost, they should run about two cents per hour once power is secured from Wisconsin Power, Light & Heat. The city rewiring was directed by city superintendent CLP Gross, with work starting in fall and continuing through winter. two sizes of fixtures, larger poles at dangerous corners, aim to improve safety and reduce current usage.

Joseph Brilliott of Sauk City faced fish possession charges during a closed season. Witness Bert Law testified he saw Brilliott pick up pickerel on March 9 through ice holes on the Wisconsin river. The jury found Brilliott not guilty and the district attorney dismissed charges against two co defendants. Dresen was ordered arrested and set for April 4.
