Charter members Mrs. Harry Thornton and Mrs. H. E. Paddock attended, and members read letters from former friends. The group funds local libraries, helped rebuild a passenger station shelter, and led war work via the council of defense. Husband guests enjoyed a late 500 game and a second supper, with plans to celebrate the 50th anniversary similarly.

Paul J. Fauteck, former Reedsburg president and Medford Sun publisher, convicted in Eau Claire U S court of violating the espionage act, is sentenced to Leavenworth for one year and a day. Millie Ziegler of Valley Junction is cleared on motion. sixteen espionage cases resolved with twelve convictions. court adjourns to April 13.
Mr and Mrs Thomas Moran purchased the North residence at Oak and Seventh from Mr and Mrs Harry North nee Ida Ring ling. The Morans will move in after the North family vacates. the Norths may relocate to Evanston or the Ringlings’ home. Samuel Platt and Theodore Kramer swapped the Crane farm eighty acres on Webster Prairie for a Lodi house owned by Charley Ganser. All deals made by J T Bates.
The preliminary hearing of Judson Montgomery of Milwaukee for second degree murder is postponed until April 14. He is accused of driving into a group waiting for a street car, killing three and injuring several. The Montgomery family formerly lived in Baraboo, where John M. Kelley resided.
Mrs. Elizabeth Segar of Kilbourn suffered a painful burn when a pail of hot water spilled onto her feet early this week. Despite her age, she is reported to be recovering and doing as well as can be expected.
Mr and Mrs George Swetland of Reedsburg marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Friday March 28 Their children and families gathered at the couple's rural Reedsburg home to celebrate They received gold banded dishes and a purse of gold A son Joseph and two daughters came from Minneapolis and Mrs J W Finch of Iowa joined relatives nearby for the happy day.
Announcement that Edwin A. Booker and Marian Teetsell wed in St Paul on March 1. The groom resides with his mother in St Paul, and the couple's families have long lived in Kilbourn.
Mrs. Emilee Madly Moody widow of Captain James Moody died at her daughter’s home. Her body was sent from Portage to Milwaukee for burial at Forest Home cemetery. The $2 widow died in her home with her daughter Mrs. J. F. Voltz present.
