About 30 W R C members gathered at Mrs Hoar's daughter Mrs Homer Pitts home for sewing and a noon dinner. The gathering proved profitable and pleasant with thanks to Mrs Pitts for hospitality. On Saturday Mrs Hoar travels to Kenosha to stay with another daughter, greatly missed by the corps. Mrs L J Barrett returns from Green Bay.
Two Men Jailed For Dam Construction Thefts At Prairiedu Sac
James Devine and William Stokes appeared before Justice H. L. Halsted and each received four months in jail for petty thefts at the Prairiel du Sac dam site. They allegedly took two gold watches valued at 15 and 5 dollars and a hat valued at 250 dollars from Harry Clark’s bunk house. One watch was found in the patrol wagon, the other items recovered in possession of one man after a trip to Madison. The pair were said to have traded hats and watches in Sauk City while intoxicated on Sunday.
