Hargrave, son of Rev. and Mrs. Hargrave now in St. Petersburg Florida, was hired aboard a liner from Liverpool on December 27. Lauder posed thirty minutes daily in hotels across major cities as the 86 by 48 inch Highland costume painting progresses.

Team in Mire One Animal Dies in Night Mishap

The regular Thalia meeting convened Thursday afternoon with Miss Dryer absent. Miss Belle Aton chaired. A spring program featured Mendelssohn piano solo by Thelma Kuhns and readings by Rachel Fellows Inez Kuhns Liora Geilmar and Gertrude Morse. Several new members joined. The domestic science class hosted lunch under Miss Byrnes. A teachers’ meeting occurred at the high school. Basketball finals ended with freshmen beating juniors and credits announced for players and society members.

Sheriff Seizes The Goods In Oil Firm Attachment Suit
The Harry Cooley Oil Company of Madison won an attachment case in H. L. Halstead’s justice court against W. A. Blackman of Merrimack. Blackman formerly agents for the oil firm kept pumps and other property in a barn and fled with the key. Sheriff William Welk initially faced obstruction but recovered most items after baring the premises. The oil company was awarded $9583 with J. W. Krenz for the oil firm and D. Ruggles for Blackman assisting in court.
