The Farmers & Merchants Bank tax refund claim was disallowed. If paving second avenue with brick in 1918 the price cap is $31.25 per thousand. Regular routine business proceeded.

In Madison the Y W C A will receive a large bequest from the late Mrs Helen E Mills widow of Arthur C Mills after Mrs Clarence Shadwick of Chicago withdrew her objection to the will. Judge Zimmerman admitted probate and appointed R R Kropf executor with bond of 90000 dollars. Mills left half of Simeon Mills property on Monaona avenue to the state historical society and half to the Y W C A for a girls home. The bequest totals about 50000 dollars including the property and other assets and claims filing has closed ensuring possible possession in three to four months.
