Thomas Hanley of Portage attends the Hanley cousins George and James Hanley funeral in Aurora Illinois. The brothers and Mr and Mrs N Anderson were killed when their car was struck by a Chicago and Northwestern train near Geneva Illinois. The Hanleys were lumber dealers and Mr Anderson led Granger Elevator Company.

Charles Knight of Fingal Ontario, 72, entered the elephant enclosure at a Ringling Bros show in St Thomas Canada after an elephant signaled yhe keeper.
