Impromptu Commencement Honors Graduates and Staff

Four Negroes Involved In Ismay Shooting Incident
County Surveyor J. C. Cory reports a shooting incident in Ismay involving four African American men and a posse. The men quarrelled on the Milwaukee local, weapons were seized from two, a fugitive fired at whites, the crowd returned fire, and one was wounded in the leg before being captured and jailed in Miles City.

Webster Hall Opens With Saturday Dance at Webster
John Miller fitted up a store at Webster and opened a hall on the second floor with a neighborhood dance. The Clark orchestra played high quality music and refreshments were served on the main floor. A second dance is planned for June first at the same venue.

Young Man Accidentally Shot in Arm Near Ekalaka
Roy Turner, son in law of PL Prichard, was accidentally shot in the arm last Saturday while a shotgun he carried in the auto discharged en route to the LE 1 Diners in the Longines east of Ekalaka. Lawrence Groeger accompanied him at the co operative store. the gun discharged while shifting seats, making a ugly hole in the fleshy part of his right arm. Dr. Young, treating Turner, reports no serious results likely.
