A New York gathering was interrupted when Rear Admiral Bradley A Fiske could not speak on "the mind of the mary" and Secretary Daniels altered the program. Admiral Wordhead, and General Leonard Wood, were noted in the lineup while Fiske demanded a replacement speaker to discuss U S army and navy topics. The event touched on Germany potentially forcing terms of peace and shifting fleet alignment in the Atlantic.
