Richard Bauman, 34, a former Austin man, received a five to seven year term for the July 30 poolroom shooting of Robert Bair, 24, in Owatonna. Bauman pleaded guilty to first degree assault and was sentenced by Judge Axel B. Anderson after a brief delay for probation investigations. Bair, paralyzed, is in Fort Snelling Veterans Hospital. Bauman to begin penitentiary time at Stillwater Prison.
