Texan Proposes US Rent Plan for Airlines
Texas air operator Trans-Texas Airways proposes the armed services lease transport planes to airlines on a reasonable basis. President R Earl McKaughan tells the Senate commerce committee such leases would ease aircraft costs, boost airline finances, and aid national defense. He denounces a Civil Aeronautics Board show cause order against his company, issued last April 4 after inaugurating partial service in October 1947.
