Three Damato sons found after twenty years
In Redondo Beach California a 70 year old mother Mary Damato locates her three sons after a 20 year search. Anthony Damato 24 Francisco 26 and Santo 27 were found through newspaper contacts after a bakery tip and cross town and state digging. The sons were separated from their mother when aged four seven and the reunion plans remain undecided.

Robert Bednasek, 24, acquitted of murdering University of Iowa student Margaret Anne Jackson, began driving a taxi for City Cab Company in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday. The former psychology major took the job as his first work since the April jury verdict.

Welfare Checks Not Enough for Family Needs Case
Truck driver Curtis Bowers complained welfare funds were insufficient to buy items for the home. Authorities say he and his family received 891 dollars from 1948 to 1949, but he didn’t report 313.60 dollars earned by his daughter, claiming fraud due to inadequate checks. Judge Skillman ordered restitution of 313.60 and two years probation.
