Buckner Rites Held for San Marcos Publisher
Thomas A Buckner Sr longtime San Marcos Record publisher died after a weeklong illness at 77. Funeral Thursday at Pennington Chapel with burial in San Marcos City Cemetery. He led the paper from 1921 and guided multiple Texas papers before returning to San Marcos. He is survived by his widow two sons and two daughters.
