San Antonio Tops in Pro Rodeo With 30 000 Prize
San Antonio announced a top professional rodeo set for February 17–26 at a new 3 million dollar Coliseum as part of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition. Everett Colburn, veteran producer, will bring 500 head of livestock and top cowboys for 14 performances and will judge the San Antonio event on par with Fort Worth and Houston.

The Knobbs Lee County Folks Share Cordial Rural Life
GIDDINGS December 8 The Knobbs in the hills of Lee County is a small store church and school community named for four close hills. P N Stewart is the sole merchant running a gas oil groceries and soda shop. He hunts coons and foxes and enjoys fox hunting with local neighbors as he and others treed seven coons in a recent outing. The neighborhood keeps a neighborly atmosphere with chatter on the party line and visits from residents, including the women and occasionally children joining hunts.
