Thefts of Four Doctors Kits Spark Dope-Seekers Probe
Austin police said a wave of doctor’s kit thefts is the work of people seeking narcotics. Two kits were found without narcotics and one kit stolen Wednesday raised total thefts to four in three days. Dr M J Washington reported the loss from his car and did not know the theft site. The Roberson, Nanney kits were found with the narcotics missing or missing entirely. one kit remained intact otherwise.

Spider Escapes Jail Twice In Two Days In Mexico
Armando Salas Garcia known as The Spider, a jailbreaker, escaped from a Mexicali jail window after being questioned for a wash, the second escape in as many days. He was among 23 inmates who tunneled out Monday and was recaptured Tuesday. Several other escapees have also been caught. He had previously served time at San Quentin in California.
