McDade Boy Dies of Polio Sixth in Travis County
Arthur David Kastner Jr. of McDade died Monday at Brackenridge Hospital after polio diagnosed Sunday night. He was the sixth polio death in Travis County this year, with 11 patients in Brackenridge’s polio ward and conditions listed as good. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kastner, of McDade, had him examined by a Taylor physician before transport to Austin and the body taken to Elgin.
