Fire at Emil Matzdorff Farm Straw Bale Pile
The Aurelia Volunteer Fire Department was called to the Emil Matzdorff farm 104 miles northeast of Aurelia at 5 30 this Thursday afternoon. Roughly 3000 bales of straw burned, likely from spontaneous combustion. Fire crews will stay on site overnight to guard nearby buildings.
