Sanborn edged Aurelia 41 to 28 in a Sioux Valley conference game after a tight first half. Sanborn led 8 6 after the first period and 17 9 at halftime as Aurelia surged in the third before a 15 4 final stanza. Sanborn Seconds won 34 to 26 as G Anderson top scored for Aurelia with 18.
The Hanover church dedicated its new parsonage Sunday forenoon, with the pastor Pastor H J Witzgall receiving the key. Open house followed with the family moving in Monday. Local families and friends joined in birthday celebrations and visiting over the weekend.

February 14 John V Carlson Estate one mile south four miles west and one mile south of Aurelia with Halstrom Gustafson and Lindsay as auctioneers.
Final plans for the annual Scotch festival in the Ida Grove Armory on Friday January 27 are under way Floyd Maxwell chairman says Archie MacKay and his bagpipe band from Aurelia and Cherokee will again be featured A headline act Madden and Stillian entertainers join a strong program with Elizabeth Suiter a soloist and a Denise high school quartet from Benna Vista college and Braunschweiger band Ida Grove high school also appears Janet Suiter scotch dancer and her two pupils Janet Todd and Sharon McIntosh Johnny Galvin and his Club 69 Orchestra will provide music for dancing
