At a meeting in Savannah on January 15 18 81 the Planters Bank commissioners order public notices in Savannah Augusta Milledgeville Washington and Athens. They will begin receiving subscriptions on Friday February 1 at eleven o clock at the Exchange long Room Savannah and continue every Friday for six months.

Commissioners at Planters Bank of Georgia ap pointed to oversee stock subscriptions unanimously adopt a six month opening window from February 1 to receive shares. Subscriptions may be up to 100 shares per person and books remain open until the six months expire or all 9000 shares are taken. After closure, remaining subscriptions may be accepted.
