An 18th century newspaper listing shows an extensive library catalog from Ferguson to Goldsmith with travel and biography works, school books, and sermons. A notice describes Shadrack and Buck, fugitives pursued by Michael Flick, with details and a reward offer, dated March 2.
A man reports a mulatto named John about 23 years old fled from Oglethorpe County with a companion from Mr Strong’s who had earlier left Virginia as a freeman. Suspected to head to Virginia via Augusta with forged passes. Reward offered for lodging or delivering him to the claimant.
Mary Rhodes administratrix announces a May sale at the Market House Argusta. Lands include about 100 acres adjoining David Uarquhart and Catlett properties, 54 acres, 21 acres, lots in Bedford, 12 acres, plus adjoining road parcels. Proceeds for heirs and creditors.
Joseph Cotten announces Gallatin will stand the present season in Greenesborough until July 15 and will stand the fall season in Waynesborough. March 2.
On the last of January or early February a quantity of clothing disappeared from Mr Boodrum s or Kid s wagon near Camp Creek Wallington Wilkes County The missing items include 5 coats 3 pairs of stockings 10 waistcoats 7 pair of homespun pantaloons 1 pair of black velvet breeches with black ferriting at the knees 1 pair of drawers 7 shirts 1 pair of shoes all packed in a bag One coat long mixed homespun wore jeans with needle work on one shirt If found contact Joseph Eckes Wilkes County or the subscriber in Augusta a reward of Five Dollars offered Jesse J Barham
Advertises for three Negro fellows as apprentices at a Blacksmithing business on Reynold Street near Calffrey and Bostin's Hotel. J. J. Perin promises attentive instruction and reliable training. March. 2

A fragmented catalog lists sugar, tea, spices, rum, brandy, gin, whiskey, soap, indigo, rice, salt, crockery, glassware, iron and steel, and various goods including tobacco and tea from a colonial era marketplace. The mixed items reflect typical colonial trade and household needs.
A $10 reward is offered for the capture of Cuffey a Black man about 32 or 33 years old six feet tall nine inches brown skin quick speaking voice and large whiskers. He fled from the sub fortier near Augusta on a Sunday evening likely making for Savannah where his wife lived. He may shelter with his brother Sam Gibons and may attempt to board a riverboat to head south. Any person who apprehends him and returns him to the seeker or places him in jail will receive the stated reward.
Advertisement seeking a trustworthy black man for hire on a plantation or by a printer, described as attentive to driving, caring for horses, or waiting in the house. Claims the man is honest and faithful, owner has no doubt about him, inquire for the printers.
R Fairlamb has moved his bindery to the Chronicle Office offering every branch of binding work. Merchants can have ledgers ruled and bound to any pattern. February 9.

CraigAn Crawtorp announces candidacy for sheriff in Richy Richmond County with filing set for January 26.
The statement announces George Twigees as a candidate for the office of Sheriff in the upcoming election. Dated February 2, the note identifies the official authorization for the nomination.
In 1810 at Richmond Court of Ordinary three months notice is ordered by the judge for public Gazette publication on the petition of Lewis M Coy seeking titles to an Augusta tract held under a bond by Ananias Cooper. The land lies west of George Conn, east of Ananias Cooper, north on Bills street and south on Green street. The administrator of Cooper is to convey if no objections arise.
