Ordination sermons and Sacramental service at Methodist Church
A lengthy account recalls a Saturday and Sabbath at St. Paul’s Methodist Church with sermons on ordination and the Lord’s Supper. Revs Kollock Brown and Catter Kedlocky preached in evangelical tones, the building crowded and attendees moved by solemn reverence. A Mississippi note follows detailing an attack by Choctaw Indians and a local election result for tax officials in 1811.
