A historical notice lists numerous names connected to a post office or store, including Agnes Bacon Col. Brown William Beil Thomas Bust Andrew Beil and many others. The document references January 11 1811 and notes deeds for sale at the office.
On the first Tuesday in February at Columbia Court House the sheriff will sell multiple parcels to satisfy various executions. Included are 473 acres tied to William Jones and William Ford, 256 acres on Upon’s Creek, 299 acres near Darfey and Armstrong, 400 acres of Sullivan’s Deck with adjacent tracts, 160 acres on Caio Creek and Lice River, 77 acres on Cain Creek, and 202 acres on Germany Creek. Also a lot in Applington with improvements, plus three enslaved people to satisfy a case. One lot near Applington and other lands along Little River and Germany Creek are listed with further executions. Conditions watch. Wm. Wilkins, Sheriff. Tanusry 5.
Wm G Sturges an administrator of Baxter Leahy estate denounces a land sale in Baldwin County tied to two executions against him and William Lons. He states no title or claim to the land and warns others not to cut timber or make improvements or claim possession. January 5, 1841 Augusta.
For one or more years the house and lit formerly occupied by Mr John Hamitt on Reynold Street are to be rented with the house in good repair and a passage given on the 2d day of March. Aptly to Andrew G Semmes. January 5. Sheriff's Titles.
