Proclamation Offers Reward for White Robbers in Augusta
Intendant Joseph Hutchinson issues a thousand dollar reward for information leading to convictions of burglaries in Augusta plus four hundred for people of color and freedom for enslaved informants. Sheriff and officers urged to patrol and aid juries. Goods stolen from Mr John Moore’s store include various fabrics and five dollars in money. December 22, 1810.

Dissolution. He absconded about October 15 and has since been seen in Augusta and Columbia county. He is about 46, bald, rheumatic, with a down look, quick speech, a skilled gardener and fair shoemaker. A reward of 10 dollars and expenses will be paid to anyone delivering him to Michael Fleck or Peter Donaldson, Esq. of Augusta, Richmond County near Spirit Creek. December 22.
