New Iron Steam Boat John Randolph Arrives at Nashville
The iron steamboat John Randolph commanded by Capt Creswell and owned by B Lamar arrived at Nashville on Wednesday. It will operate between Nashville and Savannah drawing less water and offering a summer river route. Aboard, machinery expert Mr Scarsor ues explained the design while the boat was saluted at departure and return.
