Love and music clash in a Georgia dialogue excerpt
From the Southern Literary Messenger a dialogue fragment quotes Italian and Georgian voices. Phillis resists revealing love while Tireie urges candor, then shifts to an essay on beauty beyond mathematical measures, praising inner spirit over rigid judgment. Augusta, Georgia, notes the publication origin.
