The Augusta post office lists letters awaiting pickup as of April 1 1807. Residents are advised to claim mail addressed to them and present proper identification to retrieve items.
On the first Tuesday in May next the Columbia County Courthouse will host a sale of 75 acres where Aquila Howard resides and a negro boy named John seized to satisfy James R. Semmes. Also 150 acres of land where William Ford lives, seized for Wm. H. Jack, and 176 acres where George Tankersley lives seized for Thomas Jones. Additional items include two mares and 600 acres tied to John Tinkler, with proceeds to satisfy various executions. located along Kiokee Creek and near Magruder, Lazenby, Garnett, and Jordan.
