An Independence farmer, Oscar Slattery, stole Mrs. Margarr Schlosser’s horse in Attica while drunk after leaving a Williamsport tax payment stop. Pursued by John Sample and Night Officer Moore, the fugitive was captured the next morning, repaying Schlosser for expenses.

Aged West Point Resident Duddleston Dies at Home
West Point resident William McDonald Duddleston died Friday evening at his home after a long illness described as Knight's disease. He was over 60. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:40 p.m. at the West Point church with Rev. Dunlavy in charge. Interment followed in the nearby cemetery. Surviving are a widow and stepson W. A. Moon of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Duddleston remains seriously ill at home.

Fountain Circuit Court to convene after long vacation

Wiley J Huddle elder son of Mrs Margaret Bfuddle of Attica has been chosen by the Indiana Public Utilities commission as a gas expert to appraise Indianapolis gas properties for merger of two major companies. A broken flange on a gravel car caused a wreck west of the covington plant on the wabash towpath. Eleven hopper cars derailed tearing up track while wreck crews worked until 6 30 last evening.
