A separate Sunday night robbery attempt on Leo Jim the Chinese laundryman failed when he frightened the intruder, who fled. An accident left Omar Everett's four year old with severe scalp injuries from a live, entangled braid near a sorghum reel, later collected and reattached by Dr. Morse and a team.
